The Slidell Women’s Civic Club 1st Annual Pink Rubber Boots Family Fishing Rodeo and Sportsman’s Extravaganza will be held Saturday, November 9, 2013. The Extravaganza, food booths, craft booths and sportsman’s vendors will be at Heritage Park 10am-5pm with music by ACE DJ Service. Admission is free. Participating in this inaugural event is Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, St. Tammany Parish Sheriff Office Alligator Division, United States Coast Guard, Rolling Video Games and Capt. Jim’s Charter Service. Proceeds from the Rodeo will benefit Mt. Olive Feeding Ministries, Relay for Life, Educational Scholarships, Habitat for Humanity and The Caring Center. Tickets to enter the fishing rodeo are $35 for adults and $15 for youth under 16, if bought before November 2. Each adult and child ticket includes one entry into the fishing rodeo and a T-shirt.
